Join Encounters and University of Bristol Union for a screening of Bruce Robinson’s timeless cult-classic Withnail & I, starring Richard E Grant, Paul McGann and Richard Griffiths.
WITHNAIL & I is a quirky semi-autobiographical account of Bruce Robinson's early years as an actor.
In 1969 London, two unemployed thespians Withnail (Richard E. Grant) and Marwood (Paul McGann) take a holiday in the Lake District at the home of Withnail's uncle Monty (Richard Griffiths), quite unprepared for what is in store for them, not only involving the locals, but the uncle as well.

Tickets will be available on the door for £3. Advanced tickets are available at www.ubu.org.uk. There is a 50p advanced booking fee, and you have to register before purchasing a ticket (Please note that you do not have to be a Student to register- Guest Registration is also available when you click Log In)
This event celebrates Robinson’s appearance at the Watershed on Thursday 17 November, 8.30pm as part of Bristol Encounters Film Festival.
