Studio AKA
Studio AKA is known for its idiosyncratic & innovative work across an eclectic range of TV commercials & Short films; including the BAFTA & Cartoon D’Or-winning Jojo in the Stars, The hit series Lovesport and the BAFTA winning Lost and Found. This 60 minute talk will outline some of AKA’s key projects & the process that the studio's directors undergo, covering the broad arc of how the industry has shaped both their interests & abilities, with a special emphasis on how the best work is always the simplest to explain. AKA are also pleased to be screening their most recent short: A Morning Stroll from Director Grant Orchard - Based loosely on a real life event recounted in Paul Auster’s book True Tales of American Life - which recounts a New Yorker’s encounter with a chicken, played out over 100 years.
