The Shore by Terry George
The Nominated Shorts Season kicks off with the Oscar® Live Action nominations presented in partnership with Shorts International. Ireland and Northern Ireland are well represented this year with THE SHORE by established director Terry George (Hotel Rwanda), and PENTECOST, the directorial debut from actor Peter McDonald. Short films RAJU and TUBA ATLANTIC are hotly tipped for Oscar® glory with many awards already under their belt including a Foreign Film prize at the 38 Student Academy Awards® last June.
The Academy Awards® will take place on 26 February. To find out more about the Oscar® nominated short films and animations visit the Encounters blog here.
Every ticket holder gets 15% off a drink at the Café/Bar after the screening, and the Encounters team invites you to join them in a toast to the short film nominees of 2012.
