Nominated Animation Shorts 2012

Tues 3 April 19:00 Hen & Chicken Pub

Hot off the red carpet, Encounters presents the nominated animated short films from the Orange British Academy Awards in partnership with BAFTA as part of the Show Me the Animation Showcase at the Hen and Chicken, Bristol. The programme includes the winning film A MORNING STROLL by Grant Orchard, who we're pleased to announce will be attending the screening for a Q&A. Loosely inspired by a real life event recounted in Paul Auster's book 'True Tales of American Life' this animation has been thrust into the public eye since picking up the Best British Animation award at Encounters last November. The film has also received awards at Sundance is currently nominated for an Oscar®. The programme also features ABUELAS, the NFTS graduation film by Afarin Eghbal which was awarded the NAHEMI (National Association for Higher Education in the Moving Image) Award for Creative Filmmaking at Encounters 2011.
