Mini Masterpieces

Failed to get your film into the festival? Didn't get short-listed for Depict?  Well, here's your last chance to get a film shown at Encounters...but you'll have to make it first!

Mini Masterpieces (powered by Calling The Shots) is one of the longest running film challenges in the UK and as usual it's being hosted here at Encounters. This year we're partnering Swindon-based Create Studios and the Depict Short Film Competition to deliver an exciting package for the successful film-makers.

We're looking for 90 second, fictional drama ideas that will be shot and edited at Encounters Film Festival before the
premiere in Cinema 3 at Watershed and on the BBC Big Screen on 21^st November 2009.

As usual the challenge lies in the quick turnaround. There will be 1 day shooting and 1 day editing but you will receive all the back-up and help you need developing your idea from experienced pros at Calling The Shots.

To enter, you must be aged 19 to 25, from the South West region, and be available in Bristol on the 19th, 20th and 21st November.

The deadline for applications is 5pm, 28th October 09
