Through the showcase and celebration of new and emerging short film and animation talent, Encounters seeks to promote the importance of the short form as a means to develop and progress the next generation of creative talent. This is also true of the staff that contribute to the organisation, programming and development of the festival. The small but dedicated team work throughout the year to ensure each festival is a success and that Encounters continues to be a forward thinking organisation within the British Film Industry and the global market.
