Future Encounters

Future Encounters is a showcase of 10 international film-makers - directors, writers, animators, artists - whose work demonstrates distinctive vision and flare. Many of these filmmakers' work crosses disciplines and media; we believe they are all names to watch. These 10 filmmakers will be profiled online in the run up to the festival and during the festival itself.

There will be a special event on Friday 18 November from 13:00 – 14:00 with Artistic Director Mark Cosgrove, and Peter Carlton Head of Warp Films - Europe, where they will lead a discussion on the work of the Future Encounters and where they are going next. This event is part of the Brief Exchange: Future Encounters symposium focussing on progression routes within the industry.
