We are grateful for the generosity from all the friends and supporters of the Bristol Encounters 0117 Hour Film Challenge 2012.
Synctracks is a brand new production music library based in London - a small company with big ambitions and great musical talent. With a great selection of popular music styles and a classical collection of over 800 tracks Synctracks has music for every production need. It’s simple, fast, friendly and most importantly – it sounds great!
Synctracks are providing free music licences to registered groups participating in the 0117 Film Challenge 2012 for films made for this event. To gain access to Synctracks’ music library please email liz.williams@synctracks.com with your details and subject heading “0117 Film Challenge” outlining your film and your music brief. All clearance and future usage needs to be coordinated with Synctracks Ltd. Synctracks requires that any music used in a film for this event is to be acknowledged within the production credits for this and any future exploitation.
The historic 18th century Arnos Manor Hotel has over the years been involved with Casualty, Only Fools & Horses, Afterlife, Inside Men, Starter for Ten & Dracula to name a few. A superb filming location.
Arnos Manor Hotel are able to offer the special rate of £60.00 per room per night based on single occupancy for a twin it is £70.00 per night double occupancy. The above rates include breakfast, service, VAT and car parking. The rates are valid from 19th – 24th May and are subject to availability.

We have years of experience supplying specialist HD camera hire for TV dramas, movies, commercials and documentaries. From high end shoots, to low budget promos, they are always willing to help. Applicants to the 0117 challenge can put forward for paid freelance work with Watershed to deliver the 90 second film challenge with businesses in Bristol Temple Quarter. Selected 0117 filmmakers will be matched with businesses to make minute and a half shorts around the theme enterprising. Businesses and filmmakers will get paired the week beginning 28 May 2012 and the films will need to be completed by the 20 July 2012. The fee is £450 on completion of the film. More information here.
Hansel of Film is a UK wide relay of screenings of short films from Shetland to Southampton and back, made by the public as part of the London 2012 Festival and co-curated by Mark Kermode. Selected 0117 films will be showcased as part of this event. Visit www.hansel2012.org for more information.
There is a variety of Sports, Games and Play related archive footage available for usage in the 0117 films. You can request to come to the Encounters office and check for suitability, or view materials on registration day, Saturday 19th May at M Shed. Appropriate credits to use will be advised on a case by case basis.
