After the success of the 2010 ‘Chance of a Lifetime’, hosted by CND Bristol, we are delighted to announce the competition is back and running this year, and is looking to become an annual event.

With the subject asking ‘What does nuclear power mean to you?’, the competition asks candidates to express this question in a film between 30-120 seconds long. The competition is open to filmmakers from 12-25 and the closing date is the 31/10/2011, so there’s still plenty of time to submit your creation!

Last year, the CND ran the competition through the Encounters Film Festival’s FreshFlix. Screening for the best entries and the prize-giving ceremony will once again be held at the Watershed for the 2011 competition, judged by none other than Aardman’s David Sproxton.

The competition is an excellent opportunity for professional and amateur filmmakers to get involved, both creatively and politically, with the Bristol CND, who have been campaigning for over 50 years for global abolition of nuclear weapons.

Check out the CND ‘Chance of a Lifetime’ site at www.thechanceofalifetime.org for more information on this and last years' competitions.
