Depict! Showcase with special guest Mini Masterpieces

Saturday 21 November  14.30 Watershed Cinema 3
£3.50 (£2.50 Delegate only)

Each year, DepicT! asks filmmakers to boil their talent down to just 90 seconds. Chosen from 340 films submitted from 39 countries, the 11 films on this year's shortlist stood out for their originality, imagination and ability to engage the audience, and are now in the running for the main DepicT! Award, the brand new DepicT! British Special Mention Award and the DepicT! Shooting People Audience Award in which you can participate at depict.org. This big screen premiere and Q&A with the filmmakers is followed by a guest programme from Calling The Shots and Create Studios who present the three Mini Masterpieces made during this year's Encounters. Over the last six years MM has produced award-winning animation, comedy and drama and developed the careers of many of the filmmakers who have experienced the intense creative rush of the three day production cycle. They join us in a panel discussion around the possibilities and challenges of the ultra-short film format hosted by Shooting People head honcho James Mullighan.
