Brief Encounters

at the 17th Encounters Bristol International Film Festival

Brief Encounters is the competitive strand for both live action and animated short
films, leading a major celebration of today’s leading short filmmaking talent from all
around the world.

Call for Submissions

Submissions are open between 1 March - 6 June.

Submit your short to the UK's longest running competitive short film festival with a chance of bagging some big prizes, priceless exposure, or a prestigious award from Oscars®, European Film Awards, BAFTAs and Cartoon d'Or.

Shorts of any genre, under 30 minutes, created after 1 Jan 2011 will be eligible.

We will be updating the website shortly with further information on guidelines and submission fees.
